Year 4 made a residential trip to the Isle of Wight to
study aspects of Victorian life as part of their Key Stage 2 work.
They set off from the school on a sunny Monday morning
and returned on the Friday afternoon.
Ken, our coach driver, lived on the Isle of Wight and
he accompanied us throughout the week.
This was a real adventure for the Children as many had
not been away from home before, and certainly not for 4 nights. It
was an adventure for the teachers and adult helpers too, as trips of this
length are normally reserved for Years 5 & 6.
It was a very busy week with a good balance bewteen work
and fun. There was no time to be homesick and all considered it to
be a real success.
Once the children had written up their work a presentation
was made to the children and parents in Year 3, so that they know what to
expect when it is their turn next year.
