Danny McDonnell 1990-1997
I'm Danny McDonnell, I went to St Clements with Sue and Lucy, hi guys!! St Clement's was awesome, it was a really happy school and one big community and I'm sure it still is. I've got loads of happy memories from school sports days to the year 6 trip to france. I went from St Clements to Wimbledon College with Greg Atwood, I was originally heading to St Andrews but Mrs Macdonald talked to my mum and said i'd be better off at Wimbledon College.

So Wimbledon College, GCSEs, A-Levels and all that. Went to India in 2004 doing charity work with the school. I had a gap year, and worked for PGL at Beam House in Devon, glad to see St Clements use PGL at Osmington Bay, i'm sure you'll agree it's a great company (I highly recommened Beam House though!) Worked with kids in the outdoors learnt to surf, had a great time. Also worked at St Helier hospital as a Phlebotomist taking blood from people. Now I'm at the University of Portsmouth doing a BA in Human Geography and loving it. Hoping to do a masters too possibly in Sustainable Development. I still live at home in Stoneleigh out of term time.

I always think that St Clements gave me such a good grounding for life, taught morals and values and helped us all to where we are today. All the teachers were amazing and they need a big big thankyou!

The only person I still keep in contact with is Blake Reddington, he's one of my best mates, he goes to Plymouth Uni and does Marine Sports Science.

Thanks!

Shenaz Oozeerally 1994-2001
I'm Shenaz Oozeerally. You might recognise my last name as my sisters and brother, as well as my cousins have attended St.Clements. Amazing isn't it. I would consider this school rather welcoming and caring to my family and it was a great place to go to school from the years of 1994-2001. It was a great family atmosphere to grow up in.  Unfortunately I don't know where all of my former friends but have recognised them while going out. My cousin, Khalil is a solicitor. My sister Nadia is a GP doctor in Bookham hospital house, my brother Husein also a doctor but is specialising in being a peadiatrition and my last sister, Zara yet again wants to be a doctor. She is at UCL university and already done one year. and well me, maybe a doctor, I am not sure at the moment. I am in the process of doing my GCSE's, scary! and starting sixth form this year 2006. Well all that I have to say that reading above of what I have written does say alot and all this success does start from the foundation learning -St. Clements. I am sure that all the staff have my sisters designed mug in the staff room in red and white checkers, saying ' St.clements RC primary school, Silver Jubilee'. She won this in a competition. All the headteachers; Mrs Macdonald and Mrs Walsh have been very close to my parents especially Mrs Macdonalds. thankz for everything.xxxx

Lucy O'Connor 1991-1997 Hi, I'm Lucy O'Connor and I was at St. Clements and was at the school in the same year as Susannah Kitchen but started in year 1. Hi Sue, remember me!

There was a load of us O'Connor's at the bells of St. Clements including myself, my brother Tom and my sisters Elie and Rosie, all in various years.

I loved my time at St. Clements there's a real family atmosphere and it was a lovely place to grow up and make my first school friends, even though I don't know where a lot of them are now! I was at St. Philomena's high school with Lisa Wilcox and Erica Hempenius though and I've seen one of the twins, John O'Brien a few times at a nightclub in Bristol now that I'm at Bath Spa University how wierd is that!!

Anyway in case there are any teachers still there who remember me I'll let you know what I've been doing. I went to St. Philomena's in Carshalton and did my A levels in English, Textiles, Business Studies and an AS level in French. I did quite well, unfortunately I was about 8 points away from getting onto a very much in demand Fashion marketing course at Leeds but I'm actually really glad I didn't now because I love being in Bath and the course suits me.

I am now in my second year of a degree in Creative Arts which is a joint degree and I am doing Textile Design and Dance Studies. After my degree I am going to do a PGCE. I don't know if any St. Clements teachers will advise me against this but I would like to be a primary teacher, specialising in art and P.E (hence the textiles/dance combination!) Another option I'm thinking of is working with a theatre or dance company with wardrobe and costume design, I havn't decided whether to do that or teaching, or maybe both! The world is my oyster as they say!!

Lovely to see the schools website and hope to be back soon to do some work experience!! (not officially organised but thought I'd get that in! :) )

Love Lu xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Beth Watts 1997-2005 Hi my names Beth Watts. I would like to tell you about St. Clement's, Ewell, it was a great place to grow up in and I always had a laugh. The teachers were quite strict (but nice) but now they seem not strict compared to my new teachers!!!!!!!!!!

My new school is much bigger than St. Clement's and at St Clements's in knew absolutely everyone and where to go. Now I'm all new and geeky, and well, I can tell u it's not a lot of fun being the new kid!!!! Miss Castle you were right, I had about seven pieces of homework the other night, and I've had a detention already

Mrs Walsh and Mrs Taylor were my two head teachers I had while at was St Clements. I would like to thank Mrs Stobbart, Mrs Sheridan, Miss de Sampayo, Mrs O'Doherty, Mrs Davies, Mrs Turner, Mr Jerwood and Miss Castle. Thanks Mrs Davies for the netball team, I had a great time playing, and I got my photo from my brother the other day. Thanks Mrs Monerhan for running the drama club, and thank you Mary Hurrel for the wicked art club. Also the assistants Mrs Virrel, Mrs Dunne, Mrs Holloway, Mrs Kingswell, and Mrs Muklusky. Also to Mr Campbell, the caretaker.

Now I want to thank my classmates.:

Right from reception - Reiss Carpenter, Jamie Debrou, Sian Denholm, Rory Devlin, Ashley Eade, Sophie Gwilliam, Sean Halliday, Matthew Jeary, Nick Lundmark, Andrew Mallet, Laura Mansfield, Jessica Miller, George Morris, Shaun Mullholland, Jack Nejand, Holly O'Shea, Olivia Payne, Hannah Pinto, April Potterton, Jessica Topson and Joshua Whitwell, and the people that joined, Megan Fuller, who joined and left in year four, Jordan Thurlow who came a few weeks before we left in yr 6, Chloe Hooker, who joined in yr 3, Natalie Peter who left in yr 4, Joanna Faulkner who left in yr 4, Thomas Haire who left in year 4, Daniel who left in year one or two i cant remember coz we were small, Elizabeth Alward who joined in year two and Giorgio who left in year 3.

If I can just say one more thing, make the most of your time at primary school, I wish I had done more too. High school is awful - settling in loadddddddddddz of homework being the youngest again, getting laughed at by sixth formers for being small and in the way, getting lost, strict teachers, detention . . . . But it's also a BIG adventure. You have opportunities to make new friends, meat new teachers, have new surroundings to explore, and you also get to go abroad to different countries, (I'm going to France next year!) so its scary at first you make loads of mistakes, but soon you get used to it. But never forget your primary school.

Sue Kitchen 1990-1997 Hi, my name's Susannah Kitchen and I was at St Clement's between September 1990 and July 1997. My Brother, Phil was also at St Clement's and I think he was there between 1986 and 1989.

Well, I don't really know where to begin! St Clement's was a fantastic place to be growing up, full of many happy times. We really were very lucky - when I got to secondary school (Nonsuch, in Cheam) I remember talking to all the people there and they said how they had about 30 people per class, and 3-5 classes per year. But there was just one class at St Clement's and it felt much more like a family, was really nice.

Now I'm all grown up! (Well, sort of ;-)) It's strange looking back. Now I'm 250 miles away studying Criminal Justice & Criminology at the University of Leeds, having got my A Levels in English Lang & Lit (Thanks Mrs Blackman for setting me down the right road, I got an A!), Human Biology, Chemistry and General Studies. I remember teachers used to tell my parents (and found in my school reports) that I was a bit of an "all-rounder" - well I combined the arts and sciences nicely at A-Level!!

I was one of the lucky ones, by the time I'd finished year 3 it was decided to turn it into a middle school aswell and so the new buildings were built, and we were the first year 4s, taught by Miss Gilbert! After that it was Mr Hawrylak (I have no idea if that's remotely correct) and then in Year 6 was Mrs Turner, who I'm convinced I saw in Epsom one day. It was so exciting though, getting to wear the new uniform and the tie and everything.... we had the first proper netball team and we were pretty good! Only lost to Danetree in the little tournament thing. Of course the downside of having small classes it that not all the girls wanted to play so we had to enlist some boys for the B-team....

I owe so much to the school and I'm very grateful for starting me off to get me where I am today. If it weren't for Mrs MacDonald convincing my parents to get me to at least try the Nonsuch examination I never would've been there and so much never would have happened. So a big thank you to all my teachers - Mrs Stobbart, Mrs Raby, Mrs Monahan, Mrs Davies, Mrs Blackman, Miss Gilbert, Mr Hawrylak and Mrs Turner.

I'll never forget my days at St Clement's! Despite what people say about school dinners, I always enjoyed mine, especially the roasts (thank you Pauline). I still see Mrs Virrel (spelling, again, no idea it was so long ago) when I play darts with my mum because she plays for one of the other teams in the league! And of course Mr Campbell, thanks for letting me play footie and cricket! (Still love them both) And for helping out on the fireworks etc they were always fantastic.

This is getting far too long now, but thanks St Clement's! Feel free to contact me at sue.kitchen@gmail.com :-)

Tom O'Connor 1993-1999 sup ol' skool. i rememba the days. ah, i rememba the days. the compulsory skool meals and indistinguishable, indigestable gloop that was dessert; attack dogs; 30ft perimeter fences. Only jokin, im proud to call myself an old boy of the school. primary school was the best time of my life so far. i rememba mrs.macdonald our old headteacher, heck i even remember the days of p.e. lessons in our underwear! of course the school developed, and i had the priviledge of watching it grow. our first adventure playground went up, a whole new wing was added to the school was built in 1996 when we changed from an infants to a primary school, and these new fangled computer devices were put in our classrooms. what is now the library was set up with all its high technology. the social calendar filled with more dates year on year, the skool discos, fireworks nites, and summer fetes. sports day was coooool! for pictures of me wiping the floor with my competitors in the 1999 year 6 sprint, have a look at the sports day fotos on this website. u mite be interested to know that i was saint francis house captain, and to this day, the all conquering franciscans continue their winning ways. I also captained the 1999 skool athletics team to glory alongside Holly Channon, in one of the inter school competitions, representing the school in the long jump, 800m, and 4x100 relay. That year, we were promoted from the small schools league to the big schools and received the sheild. The school may still have it, im not sure. All credit must go to the fine atheletes the school produced though, notably keiran edwards, who i hear is still an awesome hurdler. i am currently studying for my gcse's and i broke my leg 6 weeks ago. im in year 11 at the John fisher school, purley.

The school has seen some fine students and teachers alike pass through its gates, and id hope to be included in this category as i would hope to see my classmates included, and just for the hell of it, im gonna list them all. Here goes; Chelsea Carpenter, Stephen Jones, Holly Channon, Hannah Salvage, Daisy Randall, Kristy Barrella, peter Garman, Rebecca Gee, Mark Godwin, Natalie Commodore, Elliot Auletta, Aine, Keiran Edwards, Lisa Bannister, Luke Devlin, Alice Noonan, Paul Sproat, Thomas Pinto, Siobhan Smith, Matthew Lawrence, Caroline reid, Billy Briddon, Carina Kelly, Joseph hannan, Jake coleman, Sarah Harrison, Matthew Whitwell, Richard lacebel, Helen Russel. (John Behan left in year 5 but he was cool so i cant leave him out.)

And kids, if i can leave u with one message, enjoy primary school while you can, cos big skool aint fun.

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Simon Meade 1988-90 Hello there,

My names Simon Meade. I attended St Clements between the years of 1988 and 1990.

I lived in Bradford Drive in Ewell. Since leaving St Clements in 1990, I moved to Sussex and attended Primary and Secondary school before moving on to college.

I now have 3 A-Levels and work for my local newspaper in the Motors Section. This involves producing a weekly 28 page newspaper pullout featuring editorial, adverts and test drives/reviews conducting by myself. I also have been a loyal Chelsea fan, and have had a season ticket since 1994. I often visit Ewell to see family and it is amazing to see how much the place has changed. Although, the vets surgery is still there and the dry cleaners which my friend Omar's parents run.
