Reception Admissions 2026-2027
Is your child starting school in September 2026?
We know that choosing the right school for your child can be one of the most difficult decisions you will make as a parent, so we are pleased to host open mornings for parents who are considering our wonderful school for their child’s first steps on their learning journey. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please contact the school office on 020 83938789 or info@stclements.surrey.sch.uk who will be happy to help you.
Please download the Surrey County Council leaflet for further information about the admissions process.
We warmly welcome all families to make applications for September 2026.
Children are admitted to our Reception class in the academic year in which they will be 5 years of age (the academic year runs from 1 September to 31 August).
All Reception children can start full-time in the autumn term. The published admission number (PAN) for St Clement’s Catholic Primary School for 2026-2027 is 30.
To apply for a place at this school in the normal admissions round, you should complete and return the following two forms and supporting documents:
1. The New Round Application form
All applications for places must be made on the new round application form which is available from the Surrey County Council website.
www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions for Surrey residents or through that Local Authority’s website. For a valid application, the completed new round application form must be returned either online or in paper form by 15 January 2026.
2. The school’s SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM (SIF)
This form is available from the ‘application forms’ section of the website, or paper copies can be collected from the school office. The SIF allows the governors to put all applicants in order of priority for admission in line with the published admission policy. The SIF MUST be returned directly to the school to complete your application.
If you are expressing a preference for a place for your child at this school and wish to apply in connection with one of the faith criteria, you need to complete the SIF.
If you do not complete the SIF and return it to the school with all supporting documents (i.e. copies of your child’s BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE and EVIDENCE OF YOUR CHILD’S BIRTH (birth certificate or passport) and EVIDENCE OF ADDRESS (Council Tax letter or recent utility bill)) by the closing date, your child may not be placed in the appropriate faith criterion. This may affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
September 2026 Admission - Application process
Applications for Reception places open on 3rd November 2025. The closing date for September 2026 admissions will be the 15th January 2026.
Admissions after this date are considered late applications.
- Parents will be notified of the offered school place on 16th April 2026.
- Parents must accept or decline the school place offer by 30th April 2026.
- Appeals need to be submitted by 20th May 2026.
The best way to gain an insight into our school life is to book a school tour with our head, Mrs Irma Chappell, by contacting the office by email info@stclements.surrey.sch.uk or by phone: 020 8393 8789.
Open morning events are set dates on which those interested in sending their child to St Clement's can visit the school and learn more about us. These will usually be held in the autumn term. Dates of open events will be published on our website once confirmed.
For a Reception Year admission, the completed SIF, together with all supporting documents, should be returned to the school by the stipulated deadline.
Note: If the school receives an incomplete SIF, this might affect your child’s chance of being offered a place.
You are advised to keep copies of the forms for your records (whether completed online/on paper).
If you would like to express an interest in the school for a future Reception intake, please contact the school office directly.
