The School as a Catholic Community

Partnership with Parents

Within our Catholic community, we recognise that parents are the primary educators of their children. We also acknowledge the shared responsibility we have, especially in nurturing the children’s faith journey. For this reason, we work closely with parents, keeping them informed and actively involving them wherever possible. We also provide guidance and opportunities to help parents support their child’s spiritual growth at home. Parents and the wider community are warmly invited to join us for assemblies, Masses, and liturgical celebrations throughout the year.

The Wider Community

As followers of Christ, we seek to instil in our pupils a deep sense of compassion, care, and service towards others, particularly those in need. Throughout the liturgical year, we support a variety of charities and initiatives that give children the opportunity to live out the Gospel values in a meaningful way. In doing so, we hope our pupils grow into thoughtful, responsible members of our inclusive Catholic community, ready to make a positive difference in society.

Examples of our community outreach include:

  • Contributing to local foodbanks through Harvest collections

  • Supporting charities such as Arundel and Brighton Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes, Age UK, Mary's Meals, Small Steps and Wrap up London. Classes also choose charities to support during their Mission Weeks.

  • Carol singing at the Ashley Centre to raise money for Epsom Hospital

  • Raising funds during Lent for CAFOD

  • Visiting Priory Court residential home to bring flowers and play board games with the elderly residents

  • Fundraising for Hello Yellow and the Place 2BE charities supporting children’s mental health and well-being
